See a Film Classic - "Shop Around the Corner" Movie Screening Nov 17

As a companion piece to “She Loves Me,” SBCT will be screening the film “The Shop Around the Corner” on Saturday November 17 at 7 PM.

Miklos Laszlo’s “Parfumerie” has been the basis of several films, notably the 1949 musical “In the Good Old Summertime” with Judy Garland and Van Johnson, and “You’ve Got Mail” starring Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan in 1998.

The classic film “The Shop Around the Corner” from 1940 starred James Stewart and Margaret Sullivan as the bickering co-workers, was directed by Ernst Lubitsch, and retains the original setting. Tickets to see the film on November 17 are $5 and include a complimentary soft drink and popcorn.
