Intermediate Drama – 4th thru 6th grades
Intermediate Drama classes introduce and review theatrical techniques and terminology. Basic concepts are presented through the use of theatre games, exercises and improvisation. Students develop the skills and freedom necessary to react spontaneously and honestly moment to moment. These classes are where students expand their knowledge of acting skills, voice, and movement for the stage, dance and characterization. They begin to work in depth with scripted scenes and monologues. The process of script analysis is introduced and students hone their skills as they approach material that makes increased demands on their physical, vocal, and imaginative resources!
