Come “play” with SBCT in 2013!
A full slate of exciting shows features something for everyone next year. The Wilson Mainstage will host musical favorites Guys and Dolls, The Color Purple, and Annie as well as Agatha Christie’s suspenseful Spider’s Web, the outrageous comedy Unnecessary Farce and the blistering Pulitzer Prize Winner August: Osage County by Tracy Letts. And to top it off, a blockbuster musical for next summer so exciting that we are contractually forbidden to announce the title publicly until March 1st – but it sure to be a sensation!
The Warner Studio will feature a range of thought-provoking and exciting works: One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, End Days, The Cherry Orchard, and Perfect Mendacity. Plus a special fundraising bonus show to lead off the season – Tea at Five, a one-woman show about the legendary silver screen icon Katharine Hepburn to be portrayed by SBCT leading lady Mary Ann Moran.
Families and kids will delight in the antics of Disney’s Little Mermaid Jr at Century Center, learn how to love the Bard with I Hate Shakespeare in the Studio, and a To Be Announced title intended as a Theatre for Young Audiences experience (age-appropriate actors in age-appropriate roles).
