Individual or corporate donations to our Annual Fund support annual operating costs of the theatre and help keep ticket prices affordable. These contributions also help in the development of current and new SBCT programs enabling the Theatre to better serve more and more members of the community.
Over the last six years, members have contributed more than $800,000 to the Annual Fund, helping to sustain and expand our programs for children and adults. These contributions also made possible the purchase of a new home for South Bend Civic Theatre — the former Scottish Rite Building, a spacious downtown South Bend landmark located at 403 N. Main Street. Now completely renovated and adapted for theatre, it is one of the top ten community theatre facilities in the United States.
Members who give at the $500 to $749 level receive two Opening Weekend Mainstage Passes. Members who donate at the $750 to $999 level receive two Any-Show Mainstage Passes. And members who contribute $1,000 or more receive two All-Event Season Passes, good for any and all SBCT productions throughout the calendar year. And all donors who contribute $10 or more received by January 1 are eligible to vote on the slate of board members for the following year.
