book by Joe Masteroff, music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb
Since its Broadway premiere in 1966 and the release of the famous film version with Liza Minnelli, Michael York, and Joel Grey, Cabaret has become a theatre icon. With its show-stopping choreography, dazzling costumes, and some of the most memorable songs in musical theatre history, including “Mein Herr,” “Maybe This Time,” and, of course, “Cabaret,” this Kander and Ebb classic about a dark and sexually-charged 1930s Berlin night club still has the power to chill and fascinate us all.
